Data value estimator
What is your company’s data worth to AI buyers?
Answer a few quick questions, no exact numbers needed, and get a value range, an asking price and the public deals your data compares to. Priced from 166 sourced AI data deals and rates.
Priced from real deals
Every unit price traces back to publicly reported AI data deals: publisher licences, per-minute video rates, archive sales from closed startups and expert data contracts.
Adjusted for what buyers pay for
Uniqueness, outcomes on records, linked systems, years of history, rights and personal data each move the price. The report shows every multiplier.
Kept current
New price points are added as deals are reported, and categories that are rising or falling move your estimate. See market rates.
Questions sellers ask
How much is my company’s data worth to AI companies?
It depends on the type of data, how much you have, how unique it is, whether records show outcomes, and whether you have clear rights to license it. Publicly reported deals range from a few thousand dollars for a small startup’s workspace archive to tens of millions a year for large publishers. The estimator puts your inputs against those public prices.
How accurate is the estimate?
It is a range built from publicly reported prices, not an offer. The confidence score shows how much public evidence exists for your data types and how complete your answers are. A broker valuation that reviews a sample of your records gives a much tighter number.
Are AI data prices going up or down?
Both, depending on the type. Generic web text and stock images face more competition and synthetic substitutes, while expert workflow data, RL environments and proprietary company records have drawn rising prices. The market rates page tracks each category with sources.
Should I sell exclusively or non-exclusively?
Exclusive deals pay more up front, often around twice a single non-exclusive licence, but stop you selling to anyone else. Non-exclusive licences to two or three buyers often add up to more. The estimator shows both.
What should I ask for?
Open near the top of your range, aim for the middle and set a walk-away price before talks start. First offers from AI buyers are usually low, and the full report gives all three numbers.
