How we built the list
We looked for people whose work directly shapes the supply, quality, licensing or price of AI training data in 2026: the people running data at frontier labs, founders of data and expert-network companies, researchers who measure the data supply, and the investors and executives striking data deals. Every role was checked against a public source in October 2026. The ranking is our editorial judgment of each person’s influence on the market for business data. Nobody paid to be included.
On the list, or know someone who should be?
We update the list as people change roles. Corrections, nominations and podcast ideas are welcome.
